You can purchase it on your own as I have explained each and every step for this process.
1. Hosting and domain service provider
Firstly, for purchasing hosting and domain name is to search for the best service provider. Godaddy, Hostgator, BlueHost are some best hosting and domain name providers. Most importantly, they give the best services, SSL certificates, backup services, etc. They also give instant assistance for setting up your account and purchasing their products.
2. Register with a service provider
For registration, you need to go to their website (For instance, I am taking the example of GoDaddy). Firstly, there is an option to “sign-in” in the menu, click here and then click on “Create my account” In drop-down menu. Below is the screenshot of the menu. After choosing this option you need to fill out some personal and contact information then you can proceed further.
3. Find domain name availability
Furthermore, once you have done with registration, now you can explore more and find your business name availability with domains on the internet. You need to go to your account. On the very first screen, there is a search box, in which you can type your desired business name or domain name. Now click on the “search domain”.
Now you will have a list of available domain names, you can choose one of them and proceed further. Below are some screenshots for the process.
In the above screenshot, you can see the website domain “.com” is taken but there are more domain names are available, so you can choose from them. As your domain name should be unique, so no duplicate domains can be available for multiple businesses at the same time. Therefore we can select from other available domain names (see screenshot below).
After clicking on “Add to Cart”, this domain will be added to the cart, now you can proceed with hosting plans.
4. Select hosting
As we have checked domain name availability successfully now select the “Hosting” option from the menu. Now there are two types of hosting from which you should select, it depends on your need.
If you are an agency and handle heavy traffic websites then you can choose from business hosting. If you are setting your small business then you can choose web hosting. It has very efficient and affordable plans, given below:
You can select plan according to your need. If you will have a light website with 7-10 pages consist information about your business or you want to start your own blog then you can select “starter” plan. But “economy” plan is best as it has a free domain and more storage including professional email.
Then “deluxe” and “ultimate” plans are the plans for hosting multiple sites and good for small and medium businesses.
5. Proceed to purchase
Finally, now we have successfully added the domain name to the cart, we can also select one hosting as per described in section 4. For selecting hosting just click the “add to cart” button on the suitable hosting, as shown in the above screenshot.
Now you will have both products in the cart, so go to the “Checkout” (the above icon). Here you can add some other options as well, which service providers offer with an extra cost like site backup, website security, SSL certificate etc. So you can add them according to your need and convenience. Then click on “Continue”. On the very next screen you will have a search box for domain selection, in case you haven’t added the domain name before then you can search the domain availability here also and proceed, otherwise click on “No, thanks…”.
Now on the next page, finally you will have a free domain and hosting order summary (See above screenshot). So, you can proceed further with billing options and payment.
